Hi there, I’m Guilherme, but you can call me Gui!
I am a first-year PhD student in Economics at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, with a focus on Industrial Organization and Econometrics. My research interests include digital markets, platform economics, and internet economics, exploring how technological advancements shape market structures and behaviors.

My earlier research includes two publications during my undergraduate studies:
- Using boosting for forecasting electric energy consumption during a recession: a case study for the Brazilian State Rio Grande do Sul (co-authored with Prof. Hudson Torrent and Pedro Skorin)
- Boosting and Predictability of Macroeconomic Variables: Evidence from Brazil, based on my undergraduate thesis.
- Spatial Competition and Hotel Pricing: Evidence from the 9-Euro Ticket, my master’s thesis under the supervision of Prof. Nicolas Schutz
